🌿 Balmira and the Quiet Season of Not Yet

In the Grove’s quietest breath, before the bees stir and before even the herbs release their fragrance, Balmira walks the Spiral.

Not quickly. Not toward anything in particular.

She moves the way lemon balm grows: soft, deliberate, close to the earth.

Today, the Spiral feels… wide. Wider than usual. The paths stretch farther, their ends tucked out of sight. One curves toward warmth. Another disappears into silver fog. A third hums with something unfamiliar. Each one whispers: You could go this way.

Balmira pauses beside the dew basin, her reflection trembling in its surface.

"If I could go anywhere," she murmurs aloud, "why can't I choose?"

The Grove says nothing. It never rushes her.

She lowers herself to the moss, the scent of lemon balm rising around her, and runs her fingers through the spiral vines that have grown across the path.

They tangle easily when left alone, but when tended with care… they teach her something.

You don’t have to untangle everything before you take a step.

You don’t need to know where you’re going to begin listening for where you’re called.

You don’t have to plant your roots in a place you haven’t touched yet.

So she breathes.

Not a decision.
Not a direction.
Just a breath.

With that breath, she begins gathering again.
Notes. Clues. Sunlight from different corners of the Grove.
One place holds laughter. One, quiet. One, a stretch of road no one’s named yet.

She will visit them all. Not to escape. Not to flee. To understand what grows in her when she is there.

Balmira does not rush to bloom.
She blooms when the spiral feels hers.
She roots not from urgency but from understanding.

Someday soon, not today, the Grove will see her rise with lemon balm at her feet and say:

"This. This is where I want to be still."

🌱 Reflections for the Season of Not Yet

1. What parts of your life feel like a path disappearing into fog?
List them. You don’t have to name where they lead, only what they feel like today.

2. What would gathering information look like for you?

  • Is it visiting places?

  • Talking to people?

  • Trying something unfamiliar without committing?

  • Resting before asking again?

3. What sensations tell you you’re safe somewhere?
Describe them. (Not the location, but your body in it. Your breath. Your voice. Your posture.)

4. What would it mean to choose not yet, without guilt?
Can you hold off on deciding, without calling that a failure?

5. What gentle things can you do this week to gather instead of decide?
Pick one.

🌿 A Quiet Note from the Grove

You don’t owe anyone your certainty.

You’re allowed to wait until you feel it.

Your life is still blooming, even while you're wandering.

Not every spiral means lostness.
Some spirals mean becoming.

If you’re walking with your heart open,
you’re already on your way.
